Bad Grammer, Bad Graphics, Who Really Cares?
There are some people out their who live to point out other peoples flaws. If you decide to take up blogging you also need to get some thick skin because people are mean. Blogging sometimes reminds me of playing on the school playground when I was a kid.
You could be minding your own business and some bully would come over and push you for no particular reason. In cyberspace it’s even worse. Some loser male or female feels the need to go around and let people know that there spelling is bad or their images suck.
These same people probably need a friend or a hug. More than likely both.
What Makes A Good Blog?Contrary to what some people believe it’s not what your blog looks like or how fancy you write that will make you a popular blogger. It’s all about your content. If what you write is interesting then people will read it.
Some people say if you don’t use the right on – page seo or the right keywords your blog post won’t get seen. The truth is you can simply share your stuff on FaceBook and if people find it interesting they will share it.
I want to stress again how important your content is. While some stuffy high educated person will tell you that grammor matters and speling matters I says hells no it doesn’t. What matters is that your shit is readable.
So a good blog post has spaces between thoughts. Broken down into small paragraphs that are easy to read. Sprinkle pictures or graphics here and there and presto you have a fine readable blog post.
How YOU write is your business. What YOU write is your business. To hell with grammer RIGHT how ever you want.
The secret to getting traffic from blogging is to be a consistent writer.
Consistent Blogging Will Ultimately Increase Your Writing Skills
The #1 most important decision you have to make when it comes to blogging is deciding to be consistent in your efforts. Don’t write for 1 week and then take 3 weeks off. If your going to blog then dammit BLOG!!!!!!!
It get’s tiresome to see people start something and then quit when they don’t instantly see results. My friends like everything else in life it takes time to get your message out their. Sometimes it can take months.
The secret to success is being consistent even when it seems like nobody is reading. Eventually if you stick to your guns people will start to take notice.
Tips To Help You Get Blog Readers
- Respond to peoples comments (reciprocate, if someone comments on your blog go comment on their blog)
- Share your blog post everywhere (facebook, linkedin, twitter, pinterest, tumblr and any other place you can think of)
- Write all the time (monthly, weekly, daily, hourly even by the minute!) Okay maybe not that much 🙂
- Be real, Don’t be a faker
- Worry less about what others think and focus more on what you believe
- Be consistent in your actions, don’t waiver, stay on course
Don’t make it harder than it has to be. I have visited some crappy looking blogs that get tens of thousands of visits a month. Quality content does matter. However quality is in the eye of the beholder. Don’t be afraid to be yourself.
Write how you feel like writing, write about what ever you want to write about. Just keep writing……
A Quick Lesson That Will Help You Write More Blog Content
First and foremost stop getting ready to get ready just go already. Don’t worry about what other people are doing, instead focus on what you want to do. Don’t go back and proofread your stuff a hundred million times.
Have writers block? Get over it just start typing and let “it” flow.
Still don’t know what to write about? Cry me a river already, I have heard that excuse more times than I care to admit. Listen, even as I am writing this blog post I don’t know what I am going to say from one word to the next. I just put on some music and start typing.
I figure somewhere in all that noise I am saying something semi – intelligent.
My point is simply this: Have fun, blogging is suppose to be fun. Don’t get caught up in paralyzes by analyzes. Write about how your day is going, write about current events. Write about how your co – worker hit on you the other day. Write about some fond memory you have of being a youth. Write about how getting older sucks. Write about why you are blogging in the first place.
I blog to make money. I started blogging because I didn’t want to listen to other people tell me how much money I can make. I started blogging because I knew it would be a way for me to get free online traffic.
If your one of those people who are like:
I am not going to blog, it takes to long it’s to hard blah blah
Your missing the point. The point of blogging is that it’s easy and that you can you say whatever you want how you want. Your just making excuses of why you shouldn’t blog. I have a question for you specifically…
..YES you the person not blogging
Why are you reading my blog post? Why are you wasting your precious time sitting at your computer reading this?
Take my advice if you want to start making money online start blogging…..
