Shhh! This is the Down Low On Blogging
Source: google.com via Larry on Pinterest
What I am about to tell you might be top secret, so secret in fact I probably shouldn’t even be talking about it. Keep reading because I am about to tell you how to turn your blogging efforts into a real business.
…But first
Isn’t there always a but first? The fact of the matter is that there are literally thousands upon thousands of people suffering.. They are suffering because they are being mislead into believing that things have to be hard.
It probably started with our parents parents telling us things like we have to work hard etc.. Blogging is all about expressing yourself through words. I know there are bloggers out there that swear you have to spend long hours doing seo research but I think these serial bloggers miss the whole point of blogging.
I don’t think blogging was ever meant to be difficult, I think it is bloggers telling other people that it’s difficult that makes it difficult. I have been blogging a long while now and the majority of money I have made from my blog is the relationships I have created through blogging.
The fastest way to implement blogging into your marketing
This is where The mass confusion starts to happen. The best way to increase traffic to your blog is by sharing your blog post with your email marketing list. This is also where it gets hazy.
Building a list really isn’t that hard at all. The fastest way to do it is to get involved with something that get’s people interested. The most important aspect of list building is that you get leads fed into your own autoresponder.
We can debate all day the merits of different autoresponder systems, however the majority of online marketers will tell you including me that Aweber is the best system in town.
Another selling point of Aweber is the fact that as far as I know it works with pretty much every script on the market and every business opportunity online.
Once you have your autoresponder you need to connect it to a couple of things, for example you can connect aweber to empower network and use empower network to build a email list via their lead capture pages feeding into your autoresponder.
Sure I am biased towards empower network, but most other programs online will also let you connect your autoresponder to their lead capture pages. If not they are lame
Now that we have that cleared up a bit.
Aweber allows you to use your blogs RSS Feed to syndicate your blog post to the list you are creating. In this way you can let the people on your list get to know you better by blog broadcasting to them. This is how I did it when I first started blogging.
I couldn’t get seo rankings to save my life, but I could go promote a lead capture page and get some leads.. It was the combination of blogging to email marketing list that actually started creating results for me.
This is why blogging isn’t hard.
Be yourself, talk how you want to, say what you want to and share it with your list. You will quickly find out if what you are saying resonates with the people who are on your list. A mistake a lot of people make is they think sales are made on the front door. Meaning they opt into something and that something they need to buy.
Let me tell you the truth, the truth that apparently nobody else wants to talk about. There is a front end number that converts on most things. This number isn’t that good, but it’s better than nothing right?
The real money is made on the back end after you have branded yourself via blogging maybe some video marketing to your email marketing list. It can take several months to convince someone to do business with you.
If anyone says differently they are lying to you. Trust isn’t a easy thing to earn. This is why, when you hop from one program to another program to another program you burn out your list.
You are telling them that you have no idea what you are doing. You are telling them you are desperate and will try and sell anything. This is why after getting 200 leads or so people don’t see results.
They don’t understand they have to warm their list up on the back end.
…Let me one point clear
There is a difference between hoping from one program to another and recommending things like plugins or software to your list. My rule of thumb is focus on business, but also recommend the tools and software you use to get the job done.
People may not be interested in your business, but we all use the same tools to get the job done. This can also be another stream of income for you.

Yep!I like that quote.
I think It is because of Share Something and Invest Worth,Talk with Readers,Ask problems so it is easy but those who think are working for.
Thanks for the wonderful post.

Hi Larry,
Interesting video about the secret, and if i am not wrong the voice is yours. Is that right Larry??
And your secret to it is revealed by you itself in between your post. You know what i am talking about.
And yes building relationships with the potential clients in the e-mail list is the only wealth one cannot loose easily. It is more important than money. If you loose money it can be earned but if you loose relationships then its hard to build them.

I did at one time, share my blog post to those in my list. The result? Some of them replied to me, ” Don’t give junk emails.” Perhaps they just want to see emails about the opportunities that I have shown them.
I dunno whether should I continue sharing my blog posts to them or not right now. What do you think?
Where is your gravatar picture bro?
One mistake people make is they don’t blog to entertain their list. They end up blogging and spamming their list.
There is a balance between promoting to your list, educating your list.. And just trying to be friendly towards your list.
..Also it’s good to note that you will never be able to make everyone happy. Some people are just jerks.
You have to always stay consistent, you are also weeding out people who are not interested in who you are. This is a good thing because you only want people in your business who clicks with your personality.
That’s a really good one. Thanks for the good advice.
About that gravatar pix, I have no idea why it didn’t show up. But it does show up in your EN blog though.. Let me see if I can think of some ways to solve this…
But if you have any, please let me know buddy.. Thanks!

You fixed it!!!!! SWEET!!!
I think the way one do blogging is the reason why blogging looks easier for some Larry. One has to make efforts so that things can go their side. But i personally think just posting something in a blog is not blogging but helping out others is.

I must say blogging is easy job after when you know all things about it and also had some years of experience in it. As a blogger you have to know all those things which people expects from your content. So its not easy task to do. I shared whatever i think this just my opinion.
Hi Steve,
“As a blogger you have to know all those things which people expects from your content.”
You will never know that without being consistent in your blogging. Writing 30 blog post isn’t enough to know…
Writing 60 blog post isn’t enough to know….
Writing 100 blog post and your still learning how to even write blog post in generally.
I guess my point is people like to drop the ball so to speak. Riding a bike is easy once you do it a lot.
The actual act of “blogging” is silly easy.. It is no harder than sitting down with a pen and paper and writing your thoughts out.
Originally when the internet came out and blogs first hit the scene, there really wasn’t a make money element to it.. It was tech geeks, college kids and high school kids just having fun and sharing their thoughts..
It’s the flipping blog guru’s and the money chasers that took blogging and made it harder than it really is…
If you read my post you will realize I am talking about how to use your blog in conjunction with list building.. Which is 1000 times easier than trying to blog for search engine rankings…
I had the same “junk mail” problem, but I simply responded kindly and asked them to redirect my emails to spam if they didnt wish to recieve them. I imagine those are the kind of people who only read 1 post anyways. I am lucky enough to have actually met of my readers and I strive to maintain a relationship all those who frequent my blog.

Hi Luis, thanks for stopping by and commenting..
I am okay if a person isn’t interested in what I am doing or even receiving my emails.. What bothers me though, is when someone emails me back and ask me to remove them..
It bothers me because at the bottom of every email is a link to unsubscribe. I just chalk it up to ignorance.
I have to be honest and say that I have not found blogging easy. I was advised to have a website/blog for my plumbing business but I don’t know where to begin.
I have started looking for ideas online (hence why I am here) and I have learned a lot from articles like yours. I guess I just need to pluck up the courage to write something
I looked at your blog briefly….
….Here is my 2 cents
1. If you are selling a physical tangible service you need to up your game my friend.. you need a much better looking blog.
2. The reason to use a blog is because search engines like blogs because they are updated frequently. Search engines like to see updated sites more than static sites.
Depending on how you do business, you may want a static website instead. You can buy a good template for about $50…
If you want a unique presence though it could get pretty pricey anywhere between $400 to $5000 to create depending on what you want. It only cost that much because templates aren’t the easiest things to use. So you would probably have to hire someone to set it up for you.
If you want to go the blog route though there are some really beautiful templates out their your probably gonna have to pay someone $300 to $600 to set it up…
With your type of business model presentation matters.. Research your local market and competition and see what type of sites they have……
Tip: When your writing in your blog use a lot of local keywords in your articles, towns, streets etc….
Good Luck
Thank you for the tips Larry.
The blog is quite new and I need to get to grips with WordPress a bit more. I am going to change the theme and add more content. I’m determined to do this myself. Partly because of budget.
At the moment I’m looking around for knowledge and to see what others in my industry write about. Not many plumbers have blogs though. Maybe that will be an advantage in the long run.
Thank’s again for the tips, Larry. All help and advice is very much appreciated
My pleasure!
This is a nice post. Do you really consider it a secret?
Hi Robert, sadly it shouldn’t be.. Though not many people talk about blogging & email marketing effectively…
I often hear people complain that they blog and blog and never get any traffic. The reality though is if you get some good fb sharing groups a tribe or two and use lead capture pages to build a list you can quickly see 1,000 to 2,000 visitors a month.

Very useful information. I started blogging about a year ago and then got wrapped up in a lot of other aspects of my business. Although I missed blogging, I felt the other things were more important. I was wrong. Just recently, I got back into blogging and am enjoying it even more. It’s great to hear that it can be an effective business tool. Thanks for the insight and the suggestions.

Hi Larry!
Blogging might be easy but making money from blog is never!!! After the Google Algorithms update, I think it is the most difficult work .. No one can fool Google now.. So, one should have to follow all Google guidelines to become popular!

Thanks

Hi Dhruv, I disagree with you, but that’s okay because it’s a free world
I think part of the problem is the people that try and fool google. If you are bringing real value to the market place that will be noticed.
..Also google isn’t the only source of traffic that you can profit from via your blog.
