If the alchemists from the middle ages saw what’s going on in the Internet Marketing space today, that is exactly what they’d have to say:
“Oh for crying out loud.. What were we thinking when we were hard at work trying to come up with a formula to turn lead into gold… These Internet Marketing “guru” guys are way ahead of us – they’re turning thin air into “money making magic bullets” – what on earth were we thinking…”
Visiting the e-business/ internet marketing section of the ClickBank Marketplace these days is like being face to face with a Goliath of a stand-up comedian.
Internet Marketing “profit sucker system” – “profit hijacker super duper system” – and lots more..
I mean for crying out loud.. Who are the fools for copywriters who even agree to write copy for these fools?
If you remember the alchemists from the middle ages, their quest for financial freedom by attempting to turn lead into gold, lead them somewhere none of us want to be lead to – that’s nowhere.
And that’s what’s happening in the Internet Marketing space today.
More and more new marketers are being made to believe that lead can indeed be turned into gold, where lead translates to “no effort” and gold translates to “financial freedom”.
The Internet Marketing industry has become so ridiculously riddled with these “turn lead into gold – turn sleep into money” kind of programmes that decent affiliate marketers with decently responsive lists in the Internet Marketing niche have little to no opportunity left at choosing and promoting decent products anymore.
And for the unfortunate masses who are just entering the Internet Marketing industry after being persuaded by some sleezy squeeze page, the path appears to be even darker ahead.
So Listen Up.
And for clarity’s sake, let me take just one aspect of Internet Marketing from here on – Owning an email list for example.
The decision to create false hype for things such as the importance of email lists to financial success in Internet Marketing, to me, has never been any different than perhaps the US Government’s decision to invest several hundred billions in war and conflict when the country’s economy was already in shambles.
Marketers new on the Internet Marketing scene invest insane amounts of time today believing that a “list” is their ticket to success – Quite similar to how governments pursue rebels in Arab countries as their ticket to more oil
Just “any” email list, collected through any means, for any purpose whatsoever, is as dead in utility as a door nail from the middle ages.
If you’ve been a victim of this false hype, if you’ve been struggling to build and market to a list, come join me and a few hundred other sincere marketers like yourself in a talk I’m delivering on this subject and 10 cutting-edge but very easy tactics that you should actually be employing in your list building efforts instead of chasing after building that monster list. I am one of many who will tell you that even a list of 10 targeted prospects is enough to bring in thousands of dollars a month. Believing in the beat-up old logic of “the more the merrier” is absolute bollocks as it encourages everyone to focus on quantity and not quality these days.
