Hate it or love it network marketing is here to stay. First lets clear some things up. If there is a exchange of a product or service you are in business. Ponzi Schemes , chain letters etc are illegal. Certain ways people promote their businesses is illegal , but network marketing is a legal business model. The people who go around saying that network marketing doesn’t work say that because they have failed. It is from their ignorance that network marketing in general has gotten a bad name.
Network Marketing is probably one of the only few ways you can actually make good money online if you know what you are doing.
The other day a person I know for many years, though I haven’t talked to him for several out of the blue called me up and was pitching me on his network marketing business. He had no idea that I was already involved with the industry or that I was successful in it. Since I knew him I let him talk for 45 minutes on the phone about his product and the benefits and how great the comp plan is blah blah….
As soon as he got done talking to me, I said and I quote “yo bro how does it feel to have spent the past 45 minutes trying to sell your friend on a business I don’t even care about?”
I also said and I quote “I don’t chase people to do business with me, when I eventually talk to someone on the phone they are already sold on ME.”
I have a ton of useful helpful information in my head that literally cost me tens of thousands of dollars to learn. I focus 100% of my business building online, because I didn’t want to be the hunter, I wanted to be the hunted. While offline marketing can be very powerful, for many folks it doesn’t fit their personality type. So if you happen to be marketing online to build your business or you are looking to start an online business it is in your best interest to:
- Find someone that knows how to do it right
- Take action
- Want success so bad that you can taste it
- Be prepared to face the hardest challenge of your life
Today’s Tip is about video marketing:
There are many ways you can get traffic to your website, you have heard people talk about how effective video can be in your marketing. While it is true that you can get a lot of traffic from submitting videos to places like YouTube and MetaCafe. Videos are also powerful to sprinkle on your blog. I have had tremendous success using video’s in my marketing.
I don’t add videos because I hope that by adding videos it is somehow going to magically send me traffic to my website, though sites like YouTube is what is called an authority site and links coming from them pointing to you is a good thing.
Anyhow I use video to tell my story, to look a person eye to eye and convey to them that I am not just some scrub sitting behind my computer “hoping” that magically I am going to get rich online. I am a professional marketer, I do this stuff for a living.
People join my business because they believe I can help them, many times the reason they believe that is because they read my blog watch my videos or receive regular email broad cast from me. If you really want to grab a persons attention video has the power to do that.
I recently found out that you can make videos in MetaCafe and Daily Motion and add them into your mood section in skype.

I have talked to so many people that really believe if they spend $400 their business will be 100% automated, when I talk to them months later they are still broke and still looking. Granted I sorta enjoy blogging, but I write in 5 blogs and that is work. I don’t do it because its fun, I do it because it works.

I think MLM/NETWORK MARKETING is one of the few last frontiers for the average person to own a business of their own.
Unfortunately though because of it’s being affordable to get in, that makes it easy to not treat it like the valuable business that it can become.
With regards to your friend, just last evening I was invited to my semi-retired brother in laws home to a business presentation. He had invited over 30 people and he had cooked and set out tons of food. Only 6 people showed up.
I could see the discouragement on his face. I tried to encourage him, but I also wanted to tell him too get used to it, because most people do not see MLM/NETWORK MARKETING as a legal industry.
I will be turning him on to some other promotion ideas. I really blame his sponsors, if they were anywhere around they remained quite.
This is a great industry but it is not for the faint at heart. You have to want it, (success,) so bad that as Tony Robbins say’s, it must become a must have for you. I MUST have success, and I won’t let nobody deny me of it type attitude.
I guess some people still pitch the 30 minute to an hour business presentation like your friend did.
