You need to turn those followers into your personal subscribers. To do this you need to have a blog. It is through your blog that you will turn your follower into your subscriber. Having a subscriber is 10x’s more powerful than having a follower.
Having a blog allows you to connect the dots to all of the social networks you belong too. You will make more of an impact on someone if you have valuable information to share with them. Your blog will also be the place where you will start to form your community.
If you want to get a massive amount of sign ups in anything it starts with creating buzz about what you are doing. You can use social networks combined with blogging to light the match that starts the fire.
Create Synergy

I am so glad that I do not suffer from a social networking addiction because it can be such a time waster.
My favorite is Twitter because it takes the least amount of my time and get’s better results when using it as a promotion tool.
Facebook has too many annoying facets such as people asking me to join games and the like that I have no interest in.
Having said all that I agree that using your social networks in conjunction will your blog can achieve positive results.
