Panda 2.0 And Other Seo Headaches – What’s A Blogger To Do?

Sick Dog

O.M.G – This Was Going To Be A Witty And Sophisticated Like Post, But After Researching I Just Got Pissed Off Instead So Here Begins My Rant

Where ever you look you are hearing about algorithm this algorithm that. You hear things like farmers update which is suppose to address content farms. Meanwhile if you open up your inbox you will find a million ads for people selling new plugins that “supposedly make blogging fast and easy, even lazy like”.  I mean what the hell man, don’t we have enough problems in the world?

You have to be careful I hear if your content is to shallow and not quality driven your gonna get your rank pinched. What exactly is quality driven? What would be nice is if someone would do some updates to address idiots that pay other idiots to go post comments on peoples blog.

Just recently I had a company ask me to removes comments from my blog, because the person they hired to comment didn’t do their job right. I started laughing hysterically, I was like… Um when was this? They (The stupid company) sent me the link to my blog post that was posted in 2010.« Continue »

How many Blog Post Does It Take To Be A Good Writer?

Good Writer

Practice Makes Perfect Especially When It Comes To Being a Good Writer

So many people get stuck in paralyzes by analyses. They want to write the perfect blog post. In the beginning though just writing anything will do. Seriously the more you write the better you will be at it.

I may not be the most prolific writer out there, but my writing skills have gotten better since I write on a regularly basis. I have written well over a thousand blog post throughout my blog network.

There was a time when it took me forever to get a post done. Like everything else the more you do it, the easier it becomes. You become a good writer when you start believing you are one. Write for yourself and don’t worry about what other people think of it.« Continue »

Writing Worthy Blog Content | In The Beginning There Was Darkness

A planet, dark on side, copy space

Creating worthy Blog Content That Might Even Get Shared And Commented On

Deciding to start a blog can be rewarding, fun and scary all at the same time.   Rewarding because you can potentially earn tons of money because of blogging. Fun because it gives you a chance to interact with people from around the world. Scary as hell if you one of those people who like your privacy and your not comfortable talking about yourself.

Worthy content is content that entertains people, informs people & educates people.

For a few people, they blog simply for the pleasure of blogging. They don’t do it for money, nor do they do it for fame. They simply blog because they like to.  More often than not the blogs that don’t have a money making agenda do very well because they speak to a person without the hangup of creating a sale or two.« Continue »

Writers Block ? Creative Ideas To Blog About

Writing a blog is an adventure that can start out easy and later get a bit challenging. When you are seeking inspiration for your blog entries, a plethora of resources can have you posting away about things that excite you. You may be surprised at the many places where inspiration can be found.

Scour the internet for websites that are related to things you enjoy the most or the things that are most pertinent to the ideas you want to communicate through your blog. Bookmark them and return to them weekly for inspiration. Although it’s very poor community etiquette to rip off ideas from competing bloggers, it’s perfectly acceptable to be inspired by what’s being discussed.« Continue »

I hear it all the time…

…What do I blog about?

Blogging in several blogs regularly I can understand the need for new blog ideas. Instead of reading a bunch of post and coming up with a list I thought I would try my hand at being original and come up with a fresh perspective.

It took me awhile to workout a system that keeps coming up with new content like a well oiled machine.  I recommend that you write about things that you already know about. I know sounds logical right? The problem is people get tunnel vision.  To give you more freedom in your writing you should plan on writing several different types of post.« Continue »

In many ways blogging is like fishing…

Knowing where the good fishing holes are and what bait you use is very important. Don’t be lured into writing what you think your reader wants to hear.. If you do that, you may end up catching the wrong fish.  I see lots of new bloggers out there talk about how much money a person can make. The problem is they themselves are not making money yet. So there words sound hollow.

It comes through your writing,« Continue »

Many years ago, I was one of those people that “believed” people didn’t want to buy more expensive products. That you had to start really small and work your way up. Because of that stinking thinking I spent many many years frustrated and confused. I got to the point where I started learning how to get sign ups to my business.

Over the next few years I was able to bring people into many different programs online. I did all the stuff you would expect a sponsor to do.  I did free webinars, phone conferences, released free reports, did 1 on 1 phone calls (all day long), created replicated marketing systems.. You name I did it.

I literally did everything I could to drag a person to the finish line. What I didn’t understand back in those days was that I was attracting the wrong person into my business.

There were things I was doing that at the time people just didn’t want to do. Even though what I was doing was the things that were getting me sign ups. For example blogging.  I know some secret decoder ring stuff about blogging. I am reserving that information for the people that join me in my business.

…But I will say if it wasn’t for blogging, I wouldn’t be enjoying the success I am today. Of course blogging is only 1 piece of the puzzle but it’s a really important piece.

On with my story…« Continue »

WordPress Is Awesome But Dam It’s A Pain In The Ass

Okay so I had planned to do a blog post on the state of seo in 2013. But I woke up this morning and got this error after updating a plugin.

Couldn’t write to: /homepages/Warning: fopen() : failed to open stream: Disk quota exceeded in /homepages//d0/htdocs/profitonknowledge/wp-content/plugins/wp-cache/wp-cache-phase2.php on line 240

Clearly the culprit was the wp-cache plugin I have been using for years. I called up my hosting company to get some support.  I use to be on a shared hosting plan but I started getting much traffic and noticed that might site was going down regularly.« Continue »
