Swom Review: I have been a gold member of Swom For about 2 months now.
So I feel this is a good time to share with you what my opinion of this site is.
First let’s start with the bad stuff
Swom is a very basic social network , you only have a few options. But for many people that is more than enough. Where sites like facebook have lots of apps to interact with, Swom doesn’t have many.
Another big pain is the fact that you will be spammed with business offers from lots of people. I am not sure why so many people feel that the best way to introduce themselves is via sales message but people do it..
A lot of people do it! I will say this though, this particular issues isn’t just with Swom, pretty much all the social networks have this problem.
That is it for the bad stuff the rest of the stuff is good.
Swom Review – This Really Is A Good Social Network
I really would of liked to found more wrong with this site, but really I couldn’t. Even if you decide to join Swom as a free member and stay a free member it is still a good site to join. The only real reason why I say that is because even if you’re a free member you aren’t limited to how many contacts you can get per min or hour. You can connect with people till your heart is content and you won’t be penalized for doing it.
What this means is you can really get your network of friends set up fast, and fast is good if you ask me. I did a video back in June. I need to update it, but for now you can watch it and start using it. Sorry the video looks squished, I had to re size it smaller to fit in my blog.
You are going to need 2 tools to use that method in the video to build your following.
As far as using a social network to earn affiliate commissions, Swom has a really cool affiliate program attached to it. You get $15 every time someone joins and upgrades to gold, you also get $5 a month for every member that stays gold. You also earn money by just starting a conversation. Swom pays you to talk to other people, pretty cool concept.
Swom Review – 3 Reasons You Should Upgrade
I can only think of 3 reasons why you would want to upgrade your Swom account and they are 2 very good reason.
Reason#1 The first reason is they have something that is called the Open University. You can asked any question you may have about internet marketing and you will get a really good answer from the community. If you already have a fair amount of online marketing knowledge, you really can get the attention of a lot of people quickly by providing answers in the Open University.
Reason#2 You can add as many of your affiliate programs that you want to your profile. You do get a lot of space to tell your story and attract people to your business.
Reason#3 If I didn’t like swom myself I wouldn’t pay the monthly fee, I think being able to get paid to share this social network site with others is a great thing. As far as the affiliate program is concerned it is ran through Alertpay this means it is a global opportunity.
Pretty much most parts of the world can join so there is certainly plenty of opportunity to find six people who are interested in it and your gold membership is free. Don’t worry about if you will be able to get people to join. There are many experts in the community that would be more than willing to help you out, including myself.
My final thought is it’s worth the money to upgrade to gold but even if you can not afford to upgrade to gold its worth joining because you can leverage the power of being able to build a contact list quickly. So if you are thinking about getting involved with social networking sites, swom is the one to join.

So I just checked and it does seem that Swom has dropped off the face of the earth. I spent about year their networking, it was a cool site but it was apparent that the owners didn’t care about it’s members…. Long story short, SWOM isn’t around anymore..
I didn’t know because I haven’t been active with them is quite sometime. I still think it was a cool social network, the community was a very helpful community. To bad people are simply greedy…
