While I have spoken with plenty of people who have real passion for their network marketing products. I have spoken to even more people who care less about the actual network marketing product they represent.  At first I thought this was rather alarming, after all isn’t the idea to love what it is you are selling?

This led me on a journey to really dig deep within the industry and find out what people are doing and why they are doing it.  What I started learning was that people weren’t really into the products , its just that many of the products have crazy compensation plans so many of the peeps end up marketing the product or service because the comp plan really is lucrative.

What is crazier is the fact that many of the products and services aren’t even really needed other than the fact that they have good comp plans attached. Out of curiosity why are you marketing the network marketing product or service you are marketing?

I believe many folks in mlm believe that one day all their money troubles will be over.  It is the dream of financial freedom that keeps people up at night and keeps their engines running even if they are on empty.  What I find so fantastic about network marketing is the fact that, it does give the ordinary person a chance to live a life that is imagined by many but only released by a few.

Don’t ever buy into the hype all businesses online or offline requires work. Often it requires hard work and a ton of hours. I didn’t have a mentor, the result is in the course of 10 years I spent over $100,000 doing the wrong crap!  By the time I found good mentors it was too late, the damage was done. Don’t let that happen to you.

The best teacher can’t help you if you are not ready to be helped.  Are you ready for change in your life? Are you prepared to do what it takes? Nothing gets a persons attention better than curiosity.  I know there have been many occasions where I visited a network marketing blog  just because the title caught my eye. I also noticed that some of my network marketing blog post get read more often than other ones.  A  few months ago I did a blog post entitled: Aaachoo Review – Money For Nothing And Chicks For Free? That actually got a ton of views I believe it is because the title was catchy.

Literally the fastest way to get your blog post out there is to have other people re-tweet them or share them on their facebook.  Of course the content needs to be good, but if you have a bad title nobody will bother to read your content.  I have done different experiments with this concept.  One of the tools I use to keep an eye on my blog titles is the tweet me me button.  I have written pretty bad articles that has gotten a lot of re-tweets and on the flip side of that I have written some really good articles that hardly get any re-tweets.

Planting The Seeds Of A Home Based Business.

Since I was a small boy I always liked the idea of owning my own business. When I was 16 I use to stay up late at night watching all the infomercials, dreaming about what it would be like to be a mega-million. That is probably why I didn’t care much for school they always talked about following the system. The reality is there is not a one system fits all in life or in a home based business.

I feel that to many people get into this whole marketing thing because they are desperate to dig out of the financial mess they are in. I also believe that is why so many people fail at this.  To many people get involved with this based on their emotional state. So they jump into something not knowing what they really want.

A small business person works their home based business based on starting hours and closing hours. An entrepreneur works till they are done. You could also say that many entrepreneurs are much more of dreamers than small business owners are. What do you think are the differences between an Entrepreneur vs a small business person?

When I first got involved with wanting to be an entrepreneur I started out owning a storefront in a flea market. I hated it! I really didn’t like the idea of having to constantly stock new inventory in , nor did I like the idea of having to pay monthly rent for the space.  eventually I decided on trying my hand at starting an online home based business.

Boy was I in for a rude awakening. After trying pretty much everything I could get my hands on I finally decided that network marketing makes the most sense to me.  Interestingly enough at the time the term Internet Network Marketing was starting to emerge on the scene. My vote for the best type of business to get involved with is a  online network marketing business to get involved with is an internet network marketing business. What kind of home based business do you like?

Do you feel like you have been suckered in your Internet Network Marketing business? How many times have you heard join the next great this or that?  Lately I have been seeing a lot of the online mlm guru’s pushing things like postcard marketing, as a preferred way to get leads to their business. Why do you think that is? I am guessing it is because although it is very easy to get leads online, it is insanely hard to get quality people to get into your business.

Some people will like to say well my program is great because_____ or this is company is the best____ .. Ya whatever!

The truth here is this, it doesn’t matter what your online business is, if you aren’t able to build good relationships with people you won’t make any money.  Even building good relationships isn’t enough you have to find just the right person who is going to go out and get even 5 people into their business.

I often hear you only need to get 1 or 2 people into your business and watch duplication happen.. Friends it doesn’t work that way. I have brought hundreds of people into businesses and none of them did anything but join, complain and give up.

On the flip side of that People love me when I join their business because I can bring people into it by the boatloads, because I know how to market myself.

At some point I started realizing people weren’t even joining the businesses I was in because of the business they just wanted to get me on the phone and pick my brain.. That’s fine, but it doesn’t create duplication.  Because the reality is I can’t be duplicated. As you get better at marketing online you will also realize that what you personally do can’t be duplicated.

What you will start to realize is that your income will increase directly related to the value you can personally provide to a person.  It still takes a special person to go out and just start bringing people into your business.  It takes someone who can follow directions and have a go out their and kill it attitude.

I still love mlm businesses I think they offer great compensation plans, but as far as products go, they are all the same. You don’t really need them to survive and more than likely can live without them.

Since that is a fact, what you should do if you want to make money in this industry is build your business one person at a time. Spend as much time as you can with a person and be there for them.  Don’t expect to build your business over night. Be happy if you bring 1 person a month into your business and establish a real friendship with that person.

At the end of the day it’s not the products that you are selling that is going to earn you money it’s the person that you are that will.

Internet Network Marketing I have learned isn’t about products, they don’t matter even a little bit. This industry is about people helping people.

Who doesn’t like the idea of earning money from their home computer? Also who doesn’t like the idea of earning residual money?  Finally who doesn’t like the idea of leveraging other people’s efforts for their own gain?

If you want to thrive in this industry find people in it that are working together. Don’t get confused about what products or programs are best. Just find someone you can identify with and work with them.

Just find somebody who honestly wants to help you. Once you do its up to you to pick up the ball and take action. You will find that for a small monthly fee you can buy yourself an expert and save yourself thousands upon thousands of dollars in wasted time and energy…

What Is A Legitimate Home Based Business?

There is a fine line between a legitimate home based business and a straight up scam. For starters always read the terms of service.  I can’t even begin to tell you how many times someone has gotten suckered because they didn’t read the fine print. Don’t automatically assume that you are entitled to a refund. Some programs clearly state that all sales are final. This doesn’t mean that the product is bad. It simply means that it is not fair to issue you a refund in some cases.

With that being said, if you are uncomfortable with purchasing products that way then don’t do it.  I am pretty sure most people who visit my blog are interested mostly in  Internet Home Based Business. There is no other type of business that you can start that offers the allure of an internet business.  The problem is there are many marketers online who would lead you to believe that it is as easy as stealing candy from a baby. This is simply not the case.  I have spent my time in the trenches and much like it was during World War 1 trench warfare sucks!

Becoming an internet business promoter can be a lot of work. It really does help finding someone who can mentor you.  I have heard the argument that if a business opportunity is legitimate it should be free to join.  I have yet to find any opportunity that is free to join actually be a good opportunity to join.  You will definitely get what you paid for!

There really should only be one reason why you are getting involved in this industry or any industry for that matter.

That one reason is LOVE!

Ya I said that,

If you don’t absolutely love what you are doing , you won’t do it.  Most folks don’t LOVE to go to work they do it because they have to do it.  Many times if you talk to a successful business owner you will hear them say they LOVE what they are doing.

It is only when you really love what it is that you are doing, will you be willing to do it even though you weren’t getting paid to do it.  That my friends is the secret to finding success in the online marketing world.  You need to absolutely be driven to continue to go forward even though it may appear that it’s not working for you. That just means you simply haven’t found your groove yet.

DON’T MAKE THIS MISTAKE

Do not jump around from business opportunity to business opportunity. They all are great and they all suck! The reason why is simple.  It’s not your business you are simply an affiliate to the business. Regardless of how much you are making in that business its still not yours.

First – Look around you, who are the people that seem to be making money online? Why are they making money online?

The answer is this: The people making the money are the people who realized that its not the business they represent that is making them money, rather its the actions they take that makes them money.
