This is a touchy subject, in the world of internet network marketing there are people who use a technique called reverse marketing. This is where a person finds your phone # and calls you up to see if they can “help” you achieve success. This form of marketing is terrible. If someone is telling you to go out and do that, stop working with those people. It is those people who really will leave you high and dry.
Do you like it when you get phone calls from people trying to sell you stuff when you never asked for it?
I do however recommend that if a person opts into your autoresponder system and they give you a phone # call the person. It really can mean the difference in making the sale.
Personally I like to pre-qualify people first.
I only call people who have contacted me first either by phone or email. It is in these situations where I can say I get the sale 90% of the time.
If I am interested in a network marketing business, I will call the rep and ask them questions. I do want to know if that person is really going to be there for me. I however never ever like to be reversed marketed to. I like it when a person calls me because they saw I was interested in what they are doing.
My point here is it is okay to call people, it is not okay to call people who didn’t look for you first. Same thing applies to email marketing.
I love it when someone emails me and tells me to stop spamming them. I love the part that, I am not spamming them they opted in to receive my emails. I also love the part that they ask me to unsubscribe them , when if they actually read the email I sent them they would see the unsubscribe button at the bottom. (the person who emails about this will more than likely never ever make a dime online. )
I have over 100 email marketers sending me emails daily…
I consider it part of the business, I like to know what other marketers are doing to promote their businesses. I can’t stand getting emails from out of nowhere’s telling me that they need my help to cash a check for 1,000,000 –> Don’t laugh I get them all the time.
If you opt in to anything that I do I am going to email you often that’s what I do. But I never ever spam anyone, I hate spam. So if anyone is teaching to do stuff like that, don’t listen to them.. It could get you into a lot of trouble.
