Free Education Online – Always Research It First!

Free place to sleep

I made a few bad mistake over the years. I didn’t realize just how much free education online there is.  I actually spend $5000 taking a course by Robert Allen. The course was to teach me how to get a successful business up and running online. I have to say that I did learn stuff that I apply to my business today. Honestly though I could have learned all the same stuff for free if I would have looked for the information first.  Moral of the story –> Have a little patience and do a google search first :)

Free Education Online – Nothing Is Truly Free

I recently did a promotion and called one of my prospects up. He told me that he isn’t interested in network marketing, rather he was interested in selling products out of his online mall.  He gave  me a link to his business. I did a quick search on it and found out that there is also an affiliate compensation plan.  If I was to join as his referral, any sale I make he would earn a residual from. That is network marketing more or less.

Unless you created the product you are selling, online you are considered an affiliate marketer.  If you want to earn money online, the best way to find free education online is to join a network marketing business. It is these types of businesses where folks really are interested in seeing you become successful.

When I first got started, all I wanted to do was to make money from my home computer. I did join a network marketing business where I thought if I joined I would be able to work with real internet marketers.

I learned more in 1 year for less money than I had the previous years spending more money on my education. The reason simply was because I was being mentored by someone who actually uses the internet to make money. The skills you learn as a internet network marketer are the same skills you need to make money with any affiliate product.

One last thought… Blogs are great for information. Bloggers want traffic and know to get traffic they need to have good content. Many times you can find information that is priceless just from blogs.

I guess a $5000 investment was really a bad choice, but you see education never goes futile and here you are, online with an impressive business. However, world’s best universities, like MIT are providing even the recorded video lectures in order to make learning available to all.

Well, it was a bad investment but at the end you can console yourself by saying that at least you learnt something that is helping you.

There are a lot of online courses and this can confuse us all the more so as you’ve pointed out Larry, it is important to research before trying to pursue online education. Depending on the course the fees may vary but I feel online education should not cost too much in fact I’ve come across so many of those ads on the internet and the fee costs are so much less.

Hi Larry, thanks for the list. $5000 is a lot of money. Your suggestion to search on google first is great. I do googling first for everything what I want to do.

These are great list of sites that offer free courses to everybody. I had an experience taking up online classes way back in college so I’m a bit comfortable having the same set-up as before plus the fact I can educate myself for free! Would love to take up computer related course like simple programming…. I hope I could get one in your list. Thanks for sharing!

To be honest, I’m a bit suspicious about the online learning. However, the second thought that crosses my mind is that I am not learning here because of a degree but because of a practical knowledge that somebody is willing to give me for free.

Will give it a go!

free online education is great but what you must look for is the accreditation of online colleges, so you must check carefully whether the degree will be of any benefit
