One of the first questions I get asked all the time is what is it going to cost me to work from home? First don’t think of it as a cost rather think of it as an investment. The best thing you can invest in right now is yourself. To often people jump in head first before really considering what is involved with starting a home based business.
Online marketing is a great field to get into, but don’t look at your local university’s for answers. I know many people who went to school to learn online marketing skills. Once they got into the real world they quickly begin to realize that most of the stuff they learned don’t really apply to our trade.Internet Network Marketing is very appealing because of the cost and because you also get a sponsor to boot.
Here is my checklist of what your work from home investment is going to be:
- Domain name – $7 a year
- Hosting – under $10 a month
- Autoresponder – I use aweber because I feel its the best $20 a month
We are talking about $30 a month to just say your in business. Now if you are interested in internet network marketing you are going to have to figure in the cost of your mlm business I picked a business that starts as a low ticket product but has a ladder system that pays out more as the person becomes more successful. The only mlm business I market cost $10.75 a month to start so I will use that figure. (also if you join as a director it cost $40 and eliminates the need for the other services I mentioned above.) Either way you will end up more than likely having to spend around $40 to $50 a month to start your basic work from home business.

That’s not too bad to start out with as long as you stay motivated. Turn off the house and cell phone and leave your personal email alone, and you’ll get a lot more done IM wise. It’s worked for me at least.
