WordPress Vs Blogger – Which Is Best?

- Image via Wikipedia
This battle has been raging for years. First if you are network marketing or affiliate marketing you absolutely can not use a free WordPress blog it goes against their terms of service. –> If you are going to stick with a free service you are going to have to use blogger. With that being said the best type of blog to use for your multi – level marketing business is a self-hosted WordPress blogging plate form.
I think I can guestimate this -> Most marketers on the internet prefer a self – hosted wordpress over blogger. After using both types of blogs I can say that wordpress offers much more features than blogger does. Since wordpress uses open source code new plugins come out regularly.
On this blog I use several plugins that really have helped me increase traffic like for example The Related Websites plugin which btw if you haven’t started using this plugin I highly recommend that you do.
Check out that website-> HERE This plugin will help you drive quality traffic to your site. There are some advantages to using blogger , the one I can think of off the top of my head is the fact that google owns blogger. So your site is likely to get indexed a bit faster.
WordPress Vs Blogger – Why Use WordPress

The main reason I would go with wordpress is because it is a free open source plate form and developers are constantly improving it.
Fast Track To Get Your Site Indexed:
Keep in mind that whatever niche you are in you need to keep all of the steps focused on that niche.
Step1. Create your wordpress blog and a few post like 10
Step2. Create a squidoo page
Step3. Create a hubpage
Step4. Create a blogger blog on the same niche
Connect all the pages together -> Link all your sites to your wordpress blog but don’t link back. You will find doing that alone will get you indexed quickly. This just means that you are now on the map , some people I have spoke with haven’t been able to get their site indexed in months. If you apply the short cut I just gave you, chances are you will get indexed in less than a week many times less than a day.

It doesn’t really matter which type of blog you use, the bottom line is you should use a blog. I think most people are looking for a shoestring answer when it comes to starting a home based business. Using a blog is the perfect entry point for newbies, through blogging you will learn many skills that will aid you in the growth of your overall business. With all that being said I am sure the debate WordPress Vs Blogger will continue indefinitely.

I’ve used both Blogger and WP as well and I have to agree with you, WP is so much more functional. I loved Blogger as an easy start up site, but if someone is trying to grow their blog or use it as a platform to sell something…definitely self hosted WP is the way to go!
Thanks for the link love!

i don’t care for word press. it always shuts down my business blogs. i just got sick of starting from scratch all the time. blogger’s the way to go.

if you are going for a free blogging plate form blogger is the way to go, but you are better off paying 5 bucks a month and self hosting a wordpress blog. That way Wordpress’s terms don’t apply….
Thank you for the most informative data. After 3 months and 275 posts, I am researching options and Wordpress is on my radar screen. Based on your post, I could very well end up at Wordpress however I am concerned about assurances that all my data could be imported as too much energy expended to lose my data.

I love my blogger blog especially now the new templates are out. Now I really need to make the transition to wordpress but I’m afraid of loosing blog traffic and the hassle of transferring content, advertising and domains.

Hi Ange, thanks for commenting. I wouldn’t worry so much about loosing traffic. Especially since you can just make all out bound links point to your wordpress blog. If you blogger blog is already getting traffic leverage it to help build your new blog site.

I started out with Blogger just over 3 years ago, and switched to a self-hosted Wordpress about 2 years ago. I still have a few Blogger blogs, and I do enjoy using that platform. I believe you can succeed on either platform, if you are willing to do the work.
The main reason I switched to Wordpress was I wanted total control over every aspect of my blog. A self-hosted Wordpress blog allows me to do that. The plugins are, obviously, a huge benefit as well.
Everyone who is starting out in blogging should choose a platform that they are comfortable with.

Hi TE,
I can see where you are coming from. I think as time goes on most people realize that switching to a Self – Hosted wordpress blog is the way to go. Especially if you are in the internet network marketing industry.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
But what about the issue of duplication in network marketing?
Majority of today’s network marketing companies provide their distributors self-replicating websites for them to use, for easy duplication and easy growth of downline team. The only problem is, the competition online became much more complicated nowadays making self-replicating websites obsolete, that’s the reason why we create our own websites and blogs.
But the bottom-line in network marketing success is still “duplication”. When started to create paid wordpress blog with much more complicated method to set it up, you are becoming the pace-setter of the team you lead. Is there are possibility your newly registered downline members will not be able to duplicate what you’re doing?
Twitter: larryrivera
Ya I can see what you are saying about duplication. I don’t believe a persons actions can be duplicated because we are all individuals. Learning the right process though, that can be duplicated rather easily
Wordpress is the best amongst the rest, and if you can afford it a self hosted WP blog a must. I like the fact that it is very user friendly with more supported plugins to enhance your experience.

I have a blogger account, a WP blog that is hosted by WP and then I have my personal favorite which is my Gator hosted WP blog. I can do things with my WP hosted blog that you can not do with the other two accounts. Besides, with the blogger blog and the WP non hosted blog, I really do not own my content because if Google or WP decided that my content was not up to their approval they could shut me down and there goes all my work. But with my own hosted WP account my content is mine period. Don’t get me wrong as the other two are really good especially for people who are just starting out and I still post to all three blogs but if you want to make sure you never loose your content the you want to host your WP blog.
