Practice Makes Perfect Especially When It Comes To Being a Good Writer

So many people get stuck in paralyzes by analyses. They want to write the perfect blog post. In the beginning though just writing anything will do. Seriously the more you write the better you will be at it.

I may not be the most prolific writer out there, but my writing skills have gotten better since I write on a regularly basis. I have written well over a thousand blog post throughout my blog network.

There was a time when it took me forever to get a post done. Like everything else the more you do it, the easier it becomes. You become a good writer when you start believing you are one. Write for yourself and don’t worry about what other people think of it.

3 Tips For Being A Good Writer

1.) Find your creative side, be very descriptive in your writing. Many times I read blog post that almost feel like a struggle to get through reading. Part of the reason for that is I am not getting a mental picture of what the writer is trying to say. For Example:

It was a dark blistery night, the leaves where whirling around my car, suddenly a deer ran out and stared at the headlights of my 57 Chevy…

2.) Making an emotional connection with your reader is also a sign of a good writer

I wanted to cry myself to sleep every night because everything I tried to make work online failed. I did everything they said to do. I spent hour after hour, week after week and nothing. I feel like I am at the end of my rope.

3.) Don’t be a lazy writer, I am guilty of this one myself. Take the time to research what has to be researched. Don’t plagiarize other people’s work. Use spell check and re – read your own stuff to make sure there aren’t to many grammar errors.

2 Types Of Blog Post A Good Writer Should Write About

How to post also known as pillar post are the first type. These blog post are usually very long and detailed. These type of blog post are likely to get shared a lot in social networks. They offer solutions to peoples problems. The one thing to note about these type of post is they usually require you to do research and cross reference your information.

The second type of blog post is the story telling post. I’ve said it before on this blog that telling a good story goes a long way in being remembered. What’s the point of writing if nobody remembers you wrote something?

It’s not that hard to be a good writer. When I first started blogging I was worried that I would make a fool out of myself. In fact it took me about a year and half before I finally said screw it. It really doesn’t matter what other people think, write from your heart and be yourself.
