Larry is the King of walking the talk. He knows how to help you build a business online and I know how to help you build a community using your blog.
Everyone has an opinion when it comes to blogging. There are so many very successful people online that don’t have a blog but I’ll make a bet with you right now that they had one when they started. Sometimes their success has grown to the point that they no longer keep it up but I’ll share with you why I believe it’s important.
Why Should You Blog
I get this question all the time, “why should I blog”? Let me explain this to you as easily as I know how.
Larry can teach you how to build a business right! Unless you want to start cold calling people or reaching out to them on the social networks, how are they going to get to know who you are? Why should they do business with you? What kind of reputation do you have?
Having a blog, a self hosted blog that is, is the only piece of real estate you own online that is 100% yours. Any of the social sites you’re a part of, they have the right to delete your account at any time with no warning. With your blog though, it’s the place to invite people to stop by and learn from you.
Your blog is your home so invite them over. How do you do that? By sharing information that they’re searching for.
Just like what Larry does here on his blog.
He’s teaching you what he knows. He’s sharing who he is and introducing you to his family because they are his reason for doing what he does. Larry is opening his arms to you willingly and inviting you in.
When you take the time to let people not only learn from you but get to know you, that’s when the real connections start to be made. They’ll start to feel like they’ve found a new friend.
What do friends do for each other?
They’ll recommend you to their friends and when you offer something they want they’ll buy from you.
How To Build A Community
I know what you’re thinking. My gosh Adrienne, building a community takes time.
It absolutely does but Rome wasn’t built in a day, businesses aren’t successful overnight and friendships aren’t trustworthy instantly.
All great things take time and in my book, we all have to get up every morning and move toward our goals right! So why not just put one foot in front of the other and begin today.
Let me share with you just how you can start.
Chose your niche wisely and start adding value through your posts. All this means is to share with your readers things that will help them solve their problems. If you feel you don’t have the knowledge yet, share your experience anyway.
I started out by sharing that I didn’t know what I was doing but you know what! I was learning along the way and being truthful as I went. I started getting results so I shared that with my readers in my own words.
Be consistent with your posting so pick a schedule that works best for you. I post twice a week but in the beginning it was three times a week.
Next you’ll want to find at least three blogs in your niche and read their posts. Comment on what they’ve shared and be genuine. If you have questions, ask. Do this every single day, five days a week without fail.
When people visit your blog answer all of the comments. Ask questions in your posts as well and get them to talking. This is how conversations are started.
Now this process took me around four months before I started to see results but if you visit my blog you’ll see it works. Trust me on this one because just like Larry, I walk the talk.
I never share anything that hasn’t personally worked for me as well. That’s what I love about blogging.
Blogging Communities Rock
All of what I’ve just shared with you works. Time and time again I’m asked how in the world do I get so many comments on my blog posts and this has been going on now for over two years.
Everything that I write about I’ve done myself. Everything I’ve learned I’ve written a post about, pretty much.
I always respond to comments and I do my best to visit their blogs and comment as well as share their content. It’s important to show the people who have visited your blog that you care. It goes a very very very long way.
At the end of July I lost my best friend four days after he’d celebrated his birthday. Since I started blogging in June of 2009 I’ve never missed writing a post. My birthday was three days after I lost him and I wrote it anyway.
The outpouring of support for me was overwhelming. I’m not sharing this with you for sympathy. I’m sharing this with you because this is what a blogging community will do for you.
I feel like every one of my readers are a good friend. They truly care about me and when that happens you have a solid blogging community. With the way Google continues to change their algorithms, I believe communities are what will get us through.
Do You Blog
If you don’t have a blog yet then Larry can definitely help you with that. Of course I have tons of posts about blogging, how to get traffic to your blog and how to build relationships with your readers over at my place if you feel you need more information.
All of the tips I’ve shared with you today work.
It’s never too late to start and there is always room for more bloggers. Just be yourself because we are all unique individuals and there is no one else on the plant like you.
So are you blogging? Are you building your own community? Do you have any questions that either Larry or I could help you with today?
I look forward to your comments and would also like you taking the time to share this post with your friends. They just may need a tip or two themselves and remember, they’ll thank you for it later.
Thanks Larry for this opportunity and here is to everyone’s success.

Thank you Larry for this opportunity to share my knowledge of blogging communities here at your place.
I know that you have a great amount of expertise in building a business and I believe that blogs should be part of that. It’s the best way to introduce people to who we are, why we’re here and how we can help. They are so educational as well and I learn so much from reading other people’s posts. At times I’ve even learned more reading the comments then the actual content itself. I love that.
Thank you again for this opportunity and you have an awesome day my friend.

Hi Adrienne, thank you for taking the time to write me post 🙂
I appreciate it
…Have an awesome day!
My pleasure Larry and it’s an honor. You have a wonderful day as well!

Hi Larry,
You couldn’t have picked a better person to do a guest post for you. Adrienne is one fantastic lady – and her readers know it 🙂
Great advice – as usual. While I can’t say I’ve been visiting as many blogs per day as recommended here – by following this particular piece of advice, I’ve gotten to know some of the people in the blogging community and I’m extremely appreciative of this.
Bloggers are a great group of people. Every one of us knows what it’s like to start out – and since none of us are a corporation and instead, real people behind the real content, it’s refreshing to build such relationships.
I’ve exchanged a few guest posts in the short time I’m doing this – and it’s been a lot of fun. Gets you a little out of your comfort zone while exposing your name and message to others.
Beautiful post Adrienne. Good to meet you Larry 🙂
Hi Dana, Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
Adrienne is an awesome blogger I love reading her stuff!
I agree with you a 100% there are tons of cool people in the blogging community. Also nice to meet you:)
Well hey there Dana, thanks for popping over here girl. Ah, you’re so sweet.. The checks in the mail my friend. lol…
This is what I did starting out and I was dedicated to building up a name for myself and being “seen”. It took about four months but it worked. Of course the being genuine and sharing great content helps too. I know so many people obsess over this but in my eyes that’s just being you. People connect with that and as you said, you’ve met some awesome bloggers while on this journey and some I know you can call friends now.
Glad to hear you’ve done a few guest posts because it helps get you in front of some new eyeballs. You write great stuff girl so I’m sure you’ll continue to get more and more visitors from these as well.
Thanks so much for dropping by and commenting. I know Larry is always eager to meet some new fabulous people.

Hey Adrienne,
If me memory stands right, this is your first guest post I’m reading 😉
As a constant visitor to your blog, I know your kind of content. Very researched and full of meat. You are the relationship and community girl. Anyone that wants more proof should re-read this article and visit your blog.
Thanks for sharing this post on Facebook. That has brought me here and I’m glad I’m knowing Larry. I can see he’s pulling money out of thin air 😉
Hey Enstine,
Ah, this is by far my first but some of my first ones those people aren’t blogging anymore. Steve Roy was actually my first and that was probably two years ago now.
Thanks for sharing that Enstine and as I mentioned here about Larry, we are the people who walk the talk. We will not steer people wrong so I enjoy helping others learn what I have along the way.
You’re more then welcome and I do appreciate you stopping by and commenting of course. Larry is the man Enstine and you’d probably really admire him for what he’s accomplished.
Have a great day.

It takes a lot of work to pull money out of air 🙂
Nice post as always, Adrienne. I like what you say about our block being 100% ours. This is important. If we rely too much on social media sites, there is a very good chance that the rug will be pulled from under us and then where would we be? Our blog is where we make the rules and are truly able to express ourselves.
Hey Andrew, good to see you and thanks!
I love social media and it’s a great place to meet others but when they become curious about who we are they’ll do a little more digging and then come visit our blogs. It’s great to start conversations on social media but the truth of the matter is that we want them to come to our home. The only place online that truly belongs to us. You’re right about never knowing when the rug might be pulled out from underneath us.
I appreciate you sharing your opinion on this. Thank you so much for stopping by. Always a pleasure to see you.

Hi Adrienne!
I’m so glad to see you back at doing what you do best! As you know, I blog in a completely different niche but that didn’t stop you from helping nor stop me from following you. It’s hard enough to find genuine people in “real” life let alone online, but you are the real deal!
If there are any newbies reading this you won’t do better for yourself and have as much fun than choosing to reach out to Adrienne.
Adrienne, you are a southern style gal in a bi Texas town!
Larry, good on you for having Adrienne add her spark to your blog!
All the best to both of you!
Darrell
Hey Darrell,
Thank you so much and it’s good to be back. The support I received from my community was so overwhelming and really did make me feel so much better. It helped me move through this process and that includes you too my friend.
I think that some people think that just because we might not be in a particular niche that we can’t contribute and that’s not necessarily the case. I know that I enjoy what you blog about and I know that I’m able to help you learn about blogging in particular. But feeling like we’ve met a new friend to me is just special.
I so appreciate your kind words Darrell and I do love to help others. It gives me a reason to get up in the morning and keep moving one step in front of the other.
Thank you for your lovely comment Darrell! I so appreciate you.
~Adrienne
An insightful share from you Adrienne. I also believe that blog commenting is more than just leaving a link, it’s a way of building relationships with other bloggers.
Thank you Francis and I’m so thrilled to hear that you agree. If people only knew the power behind this I think they’d all reconsider what they’ve been doing. The proof is in the pudding my friend.
I appreciate your comment, thank you so much. Enjoy your day!
~Adrienne
This is a really nice post Adrienne. What surprised me the most when I first started blogging is the immediate response I would get from people. Blogging has great potential for reaching people.
Hi Edmond,
Bloggers are awesome people aren’t they? Okay, for the most part that is but they know that in order to help themselves they have to help others so the outpouring of support is wonderful. So happy to hear this from you and blog on my friend.
Thank you for your comment.
~Adrienne

Hi Hiren,
Glad you found this post helpful and you also believe in community as being very important for a blogger.
Appreciate the comment.

Very useful post. Blogging is one of the easiest way to build community but one must be truthful and have good integrity because it is one thing to have readers and it is another thing for your reader to trust you. Therefore, to build a community through blogging you must be trustworthy and that your reader must have confidence in you and your content. Don’t write on things you know little or nothing about so that you will not disappoint your readers when they ask questions.
Hi Oladayo,
I sure would hope that everyone online would be truthful but as we’ve all probably learned that’s not the case. I would be surprised if anyone was ever able to build a great community online if they weren’t honest. I’m sure it might have been done but again, I sure would be surprised.
You’re right, don’t post about things you don’t know very much about because this is your reputation.
I appreciate your comment, thank you so much.
~Adrienne

Hey Dharmendra,

O Sure Adrienne why not, But I think there is no need to ask you anything because your articles define each and everthing in a very simple manner.
Nothing like being totally late to this party right Karan! Thanks though for your comment and glad you enjoyed this post.

Hi Adrienne,You have pointed out good topics.Especially when it comes for Blogging, write in a passionate topic is crucial to post unique content and respond to visitors comments. After asking “Why do i Blog”,”What should i post about” should be the next question that we must ask from us.
Hi Chamal,
I apologize for my horrible lateness getting to your comment but for some reasons my notices stopped being sent. I hate when that happens because I love staying on top of comments. But with that being said, I’m glad you enjoyed the post.
I love blogging so coming up with topics my readers want is really not hard to do at all. Just pay attention to what’s going on in your niche and they’ll be easy to come up with. You’re right though, keep asking yourself those questions.
Appreciate your comment and you have a great week.
