Blogging is actually really easy to do. Before you start blogging think about what are the topics you know a lot about and blog about them. On blogs you have all kinds of virtual real estate. You don’t have to promote what you do in the content section of your blog. In the content section of your blog tell your story. Tell any story for that matter. The only thing that matters is that your blog post are interesting to your readers.
There are a million and 1 blog post about how to get leads, how to do this , how to do that. While some people are truly experts and you should listen to them. Most times the person writing the post is doing monkey see monkey do. These types of blog post are boring and will never get anyone take notice.
Keep your blog content interesting and people will keep coming back

Be visually stimulating today it’s very easy to find images and videos to use in your blog content to tell good stories. People read blogs because they enjoy being entertained. Sure there are some techie geek like blogs out there that but those folks are hardcore and your everyday average blogger will never need to concern themselves with such information.
…I made a quick video that goes into more detail about how to go about writing blog content.

We should have a brainstorm. You know the saying, “two heads are better than one”. If you’re struggling with content creation, brainstorming with other members of your company can help you develop ideas.

I think the key is to blog about a topic that you are passionate about, something that means something to you. When you do this, though people may not necessarily agree with your point of view, it should share information and stimulate debate, and that’s what its all about.
Hi Elena, thanks for stopping by and commenting. You hit the nail on the head. I don’t think people should blog until they figure out what they are passionate about 🙂
I think that this is a good start, however, I think that too many people re-use public domain content. I can’t remember who made the suggestion, but even a hand-drawn doodle will resonate more than stock photography that has been re-used nth times.
P.S. your modal window pop-up has a z-index issue with your sidebar widgets — the right corner of the modal is behind the sidebar.
Hi Jake,
I think it depends on how a person uses it
For Example: : pictures public domain or not evoke emotions. If the content is interesting then the pictures are an after thought that adds to the whole story.
I would agree though that if the focus of the blog post is one of those re-used picture then that could be annoying.
About the whole pop-up z-index issue sorry for the inconvience 🙂 But it does bring up a point that I made in one of my other blogs.

Hanging around in forums or discussion groups is a great way to get inspiration for fresh material. I’m just in the process of building a blog and so far have a number of topics I could run with.
Interestingly enough, the very first blog post I wrote was inspired by someone I met at an offline networking event. Great topics are all around us.
Hi Mena, sometimes I crawl forums and groups too to see what questions people are asking. You can get a lot of inspiration like that.
That’s cool, when I was in Atlanta for the Empower Network event I heard a lot of interesting story’s.
I like to use images to dress up my blog posts. I think they can look a bit plain without something graphic or visual. Sometimes a picture can start the thought process for writing a post too. I have attended networking events with other marketers and been inspired there. Lots of what we talked about has been put into posts, as Mike said above ‘two heads are better than one’.

You\’re so right about most people playing copy-cat. Besides choosing interesting topics and having a good style, I think it\’s important to create actionable content – stuff people can use rather than just think about.
Great Post, I really enjoyed reading.

Hi
Since I left a comment I have been looking at things more deeply when reading it and you can see that a lot of people are pinching stuff off other people but lets be honest. Nothing anybody is doing on the net is original really we are all doing something that somebody else is.
