Online Business | Affiliate Marketing | Network Marketing
The failure rate online is staggering. It doesn’t matter if your blogging, using lead capture pages or attempting to sell your own products. Across the board people are failing terribly. The internet creates an illusion of success for people. The reality though is most people struggle for awhile and then they simply give up after one failed attempt after another.
Examining my own growth I believe I know why most people fail and I think I have a solution to this epidemic. Pay attention to this post, when you follow my advice and have a little patience you will be on your way to a successful online business experience.
Success online isn’t dependent on what type of online business model you are choosing. Affiliate marketing, network marketing, creating your own product all these can bring you huge paydays if you follow my advice.
Get This Right And The Rest Will Fall Into Place In Your Online Business
[contextly_sidebar id=”a4fb6cbed2222eed57c247ac0eba0c10″]Believe it or not, not everyone is cut out to be in their own business. If you sit back and think about it you can easily find out if you are starting a online home business for the right reasons or not.
If your thinking about or trying to start an online business because you want to make more money and simply are sick of your current job chances are you are going to fail. When your sole purpose for getting involved with entrepreneurship is for the money you won’t be motivated enough to do what you have to do to become successful.
I have this opinion because in my life, everything I have done has been for the love of just doing it. I started playing guitar because I enjoyed playing guitar, I started martial arts because I love doing martial arts and finally I started an online business because I enjoyed playing on my computer.
In all cases I have been paid for doing what I love to do. I would do all these things even if I wasn’t making money. This is why I am successful at what I do. It’s because I have chosen to do things I love to do.
You need to step out of your skin for a moment and really think about the things you love to do in life even if there was no money exchange involved. It’s these things you love to do that you can turn into your online business. In fact if you start with doing things you love to do you are almost guaranteed success online, because truth is, there are more than likely tens upon tens of thousands of people who love the same things you do around the world. That my friends is the power of understanding how to bend the internet to your will.
So Many Fail In Online Business And It Doesn’t Have To Be That Way
Personally I am tired of watching good folks get the shaft because of bad programming. What I mean by this is that from a very young age we aren’t taught to be free thinkers we are told what to think.
This has caused so many people to try and start an online business for all the wrong reasons. I love being self – employed however I have to love it because I don’t know how to be an employee. Even when I did have jobs I didn’t want to do them. I can never work for someone because it goes against every fiber of my being.
Being self – employed has never been about making mega riches. I am self – employed because I am miserable when I am not working for myself.
I was taught to do what you love in life and be really good at it. If you follow this simple advice you most certainly will be successful in what you do.
Watch the video it was fun to make
What drives you? What do you love to do more than anything else?

Hey Larry,
I know that you and I had a really good conversation last week and I admire you for not conforming to society and walking the walk so to speak. I of course am a baby boomer and was taught you had to work for someone else in order to be successful. Look how well that worked out for me. LOL!!!
After having come online I really didn’t know what the hell I was doing, seriously. I stumbled for so long trying different things but I was scared to get out of my comfort zone. To some extent I still am which is probably yet another reason I’m not much further along but after talking with me and visiting my blog you know what I love doing.
I just love helping others, I can’t help myself. It’s just always been ingrained in me I guess but I have slowly built up some consulting as well. I continue to do some affiliate marketing but it’s not what I really enjoy.
I have no doubt I can learn a lot from you and Jamie so I’m excited about what you two will be sharing.
Great post and fabulous message. Have a great week Larry and see you around.

Hi Adrienne,
I also enjoyed our conversation last week. I started online back in 2002 I remember when I uploaded my first image to a webpage. It only took me 3 hours to figure out how to use my ftp server ๐
I knew I wanted to make money online, back than there wasn’t as much information about marketing on the internet as there is today. I was also very lost when I first started.
It shows on your blog that you really do love helping people. I look forward to buying your product when it comes out… ๐
Hi Larry,
Knowing your passion is one thing, acting upon it is another. Then, turning into something that people pay you for is a win win situation.
We are taught by society to go to school, learn, get a job, bla bla bla.. But I could never buy into that. My first j.o.b. was on Wall St back in the 1970’s yep! I lasted two years and said @$%& it! Went out and did what I loved, got paid and have been on a journey for decades doing it. They called me a rebel back then, lost friends and family, but gained new ones.
You keep going! Follow your passion and make sure you know how to cash it in by always learning new marketing techniques.
Kudos to you! Its so refreshing for me to see young people like you doing what they love to do.

Hi Donna thanks for visiting ๐
One of the things I like about internet marketing is you can follow your passion, find the people who are interested in the same things you are and start developing a business before you even have a business.
That’s awesome that you took the leap of faith and did your own thing. It’s like living in the matrix and then one day pulling the plug to what life is really all about…
Thanks for sharing.
There’s no question, loving what you do is the most important element of success. It’s as powerful as the discouraging factors we’ll experience along the journey to success, and crucial to persistency.
Hi Joe thanks for stopping by.
I agree loving what you do has the same power to effect your success as discouragement.
…One is positive
One is negative…
Both can make you or break you….
Larry, I agree with you that you must love what you are doing. However, this is not as essential as approaching to online business just like you would to any other business, in my opinion. It is harder to concentrate online and easier to hide behind excuses. You have to be very determined and manage your time well. I know many people waste hours online doing all sorts of silly things but working.
Also, online business is hyped up by many people who is selling some stupid miracle money maker for only $4.99 online. Many people believe to those pictures of seeping margarita on the beach. It never works like that. Unless you inherit tons of money, first you work and then you play.
Hi Joe thanks for visiting,
I would have to say that, it doesn’t matter if its online or offline, people choose all the time to get involved with the wrong type of business for them because it’s usually about the money more than its about the love.
I believe that if people get distracted it’s because they aren’t serious, even if they believe they are. A serious person doesn’t get distracted, they are to busy being serious.
I don’t think online business is hyped up. I think that there are too many people willing to drink the koolaid.
Like in most things in life, learning to make money in an online business isn’t cheap. The mistake is people like to nickle and dime themselves to death…..
Hey there Larry –
1st off really enjoyed the video. Fun. I think you are right, you have to love what you do. And you also have to have an independent streak as well. I’ve always wanted to have my own business, and that feeling was further cemented in my brain with the yelling match I got into with my last employer.
I know that BILLIONS are being spent online, so the money is there.
Thanks Larry,
Donald

I agree there is lots and lots and lots of money to be made online…

Hi Larry,
Very thoughtful article!
I agree, Money shouldn’t be our only purpose, entreprenship is all about adding value and enjoying what we do…
I hate people forcing to do jobs, because masses are doing…
thanks for sharing!
Hi Adithya welcome back!
Your right there are lots of sheeple out there. The reality is though that’s in everything. Some folks are followers and some folks are leaders…
People who want to be there own boss need to be leaders…
Nice article and video is also great.
If you love your job it no more looks like a job to you. Doing things which makes us happy is really awesome. I love doing business coz it is not only my work but my passion too. So i enjoy doing it.
Your article has given me a boost to love what i do !!

Hi Sagar, I am glad my post could be an inspiration for you ๐
I wish you much success on your journey…
Thank you for a very interesitng post – I fully agree that when a person does something for money only, there’s no passion and no life in that – such business just can’t become successful, no matter online or offline. But when you love doing something, htere’s a big chance you can turn it into successful business, you just have to plan properly and think about how others with find you (there’s always someone interested in the same thing you are)
Hi Victoria thanks for commenting..
Personally, I think doing anything for the love of money isn’t very full filling. Certainly there are plenty of people who are rich and depressed…
Hello Larry,
This is a lovely article and going through it, i know you speak through experience.
always trying to help with your heart is one good way to avoid failure. Many bloggers think first about the money. The truth is, if you can do a neat and beautiful job, people will always refer people to you and that is exactly what we are looking for.
Your steps are on point and i love it.
Thanks for the lovely post, do have a good week ahead
Nice and very motivational post
Frankly speaking starting a online business is very risky. Now a days the trend is that every body wants to start an online business. There are many good reasons every one has for themselves. The most and common reason would be money. Being optimistic while starting a online business is a very good thing ,but that only doesn’t help you to succeed . The most important for getting successful in online business is “Love what you do “. If you think you are really good in online business and wanted to start then your result will be always positive. Never think about the amount of money you would get, or other people’s success. If the work you do makes you happy then you surely will get success.
Very inspiring article and thank you for sharing
Very important advices. I personally think that people just give up because they think that working on internet is just waiting the money flow in your hands. It’s not truth and the work is huge, much more than just a daily job in office. You work at night, you work 24/24. Yes, if you have fun it’s cool but anyway it’s a lot stressing.
Awesome post Larry! I definitely agree with you that you have to love what you are doing, otherwise you wonโt do it well. You canโt do something just for the money!
Iโve seen too many people have a go at the old micro-niche blogging strategy – and start blogging about things they just arenโt interested in, just because the keywords are available. It doesnโt work. Especially with the Google algorithm of this day and age.
Itโs all about engaging, passionate content!
How long have you been in the online business sector? Thanks again Larry!
Katrin
I love reading your posts, Larry. Always so informative. Thank you.
