There’s only one way you can do that in this competitive, yet scammer filled world of Internet Marketing, and that’s through PPC.
But how does an Internet Marketing person beat the Google Police?
Advertising Policies have become so strict at Google that promoting an Internet Marketing product or free offer has become fairly difficult.
But,
It’s only difficult if you haven’t done your homework, and doing your homework is everything in the Internet Marketing world, is everything 😉
Here’s what you can do to work on building a 2,000+ list of email leads from scratch.
Google, as you know, is the proud owner of only the world’s largest Content Network.
Their network of sites is so large, that a properly executed, properly tuned, properly optimized PPC campaign can literally build lists of thousands overnight.. That’s how much traffic Google is fully capable of sending your way.
You’ll have come across “JV” and “Solo Ad” promoters in your Internet Marketing journey so far, who offer to mail your promotions to their lists in exchange for a small (or large) fee. Take my advice and DON’T pay anyone to mail for you. You have no idea what the quality of their subscribers is going to be, and you’ll have only opted to pay them for their service because you’ll thought at the time that they’re mailing their people will drive traffic to your landing page and possibly lead to optins.
The reality of the matter is that this practice is extremely uncertain. There is no way for you to guarantee that you’re going to get people opting in to your offer, no way of knowing if those people are evening interested in the offer’s niche, and you’re basically just going to end up paying for “clicks”.
So if you’re going to pay some stranger with a list of people apparently in the “Internet Marketing” niche, without knowing more than what they’ve told you, why not save that money and invest it in a PPC campaign that will guarantee you a qualified prospect to your site, EVERY TIME you see a “click”?
Did you know that a quality landing page coupled with a quality offer is 5 to 6 times MORE LIKELY to convert the visitor into a subscriber in a PPC Campaign than via an email from a stranger’s list?
Every click you’ll ever get from a Google PPC campaign will almost always be someone somewhere “in” the buying cycle, that may be just after the initial “not knowing a thing” phase to “ready to pull out their credit card” phase.
Most people in the Internet Marketing niche today avoid PPC like the plague, because “it can get expensive”.
Yes, it certainly can get expensive if you just walk into the Adwords world, throw in a bunch of keywords and ads and let ‘er rip!
Unfortunately, Google Adwords, like most other things in life, especially in Internet Marketing, requires some degree of “work” before you can get any success with it.
But contrary to popular opinion, the work involved is NOT MUCH if you take it one step at a time.
Follow this very simple strategy by investing only $10 in a Google Adwords campaign, to get 100 Clicks to the dollar. That’s right, I said 100 Clicks to the dollar, that means 1 Click per Cent.
Step 1:
Create a Google Adwords account if you don’t have one, set it up to be a “pre-paid” account, and pay in $10, that’s it.
Step 2:
Create a new “campaign”, call it “My Campaign – Content Network”.
Step 3:
Go into “Settings” and set your Locations to include just the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Then select Max. CPC in your “Bidding Options” on the Settings page and enter 0.01. Uncheck “Search” in the “Networks” option on this page.
Step 4:
Create a new “ad group” Â inside the campaign created in step 3, and put in 10 keywords that include “internet marketing” in them. Find these keywords using Google’s Keyword Tool or WordTracker.com if it makes life easier.
Step 5:
Go into the “Ads” Â section, and create a banner for EACH of the banner sizes shown on the right hand side when you select to create an “Image Ad”. Create an image ad for EACH of the banners that you create, enter a URL that links your ad to a page on your blog or website where you are promoting an affiliate product (DON’T PUT IN YOUR CLICKBANK HOPLINKS – YOU WILL GET BANNED). Make sure that the URL you’ve entered, each time you create a new image ad, leads to a page that complies with Google’s Advertising and Landing Page policies (you can find these in the “Help” section).
Step 6:
Wait for Google to review and approve your ads – this takes upto 3 business days.
Once your ads have been approved, your $10 will get you 1,000 clicks at 1 cent per click. A good landing page usually sees anywhere from 20-25% conversion upwards. So if your landing page is set up well (a topic for another post), you can easily see 250 subscribers come in for $10.
Give it a shot, it’s totally worth it 🙂
Testing is everything in Internet Marketing.
If you can’t test strategies that you haven’t before, you’re not in it for the long haul 😉

Hey Larry thanks for the great article. I love how to layout a step-by-step blueprint for using Google PPC.
Thanks Brian I am glad you enjoyed the article.. That was written by Ali. K 🙂
Do you think, you will get all clicks for 1 cent in a market that is too crowd?
Like Build a Blog or How to Blog? or even Lose Weight?
What I mean is what will be the difference between a market that is too crowd already for other marketers and a market that is not?
Potentially getting 250 subscribers for only $10 seems like a really good idea. Even if the opt in rate is only 10% you are still going to get 100 brand new subscribers. You may have just convinced me to give it a try. Thanks.
