It is often said in business circles when the economy gets bad, SPEND MORE MONEY! When I first heard that statement I thought to myself , yes in theory that sounds great but what if you are broke?
After some time thinking about it I realize that the only way you are going to make money is by spending money. The economy is bad, now is not the time to pinch pennies.. Now is the time to take risk let me explain this more.
Because there are more people who are actively looking to earn more money, that means they are willing to risk more in hopes that they can better their future.
The people who realize this will get their message in front of as many people as possible to scoop up all these new potential prospects.
The ones who are pinching their pennies and relying on lady luck to get them through are going to end up being more broke…
So the question is how do we increase our chances of having success in this failing economy?
There is this really cool word called leverage, because of the power of leverage we are able to extend our spending budget without actually having the money to do it. I have ran my credit cards to the max several times because I knew that it is the only way I was going to get through my slump.
So what are the type of things you should be spending your money on?
For starters, there is natural flow to business. You need to have a system in place. What I mean by this is you need a way to bring people to you that is not in your face sales and something that will get a person in your list.
People don’t buy from strangers they buy from people they know and trust, the next thing you need to do after you have a lead system in place is create credibility with the people you are getting from your lead system. The best way to do this is via blogging.
All that is left is learning how to get traffic from multiple sources. It does cost money to get started correctly online, but the good news is once you have your marketing machine in place the cost of actually marketing can be very low cost.

Great article, tough economic times brings uncertainty to lot of individuals and businesses, but some comes out on top as well.
You’re right Larry, spending more when the economy is bad will not make sense to a lot of people but its true one has to be willing to take chances in order to make profit. Its also interesting to study how blogging can prove beneficial even during tough times. Recessions are hard times and one has to be smart enough to make smart decision whatever the situation of the economy may be.
Hi George one great thing about blogging is that it hardly cost anything at all to just blog.
Thanks for commenting!
Larry I think it would be a good idea, but just if you have enough money to invest because you will have an advantage at the end of the recession, but if you don’t have money, it would be better that you think about twice.
Hi Erika, I can agree with that. There is a difference though between someone who doesn’t have the money and someone who doesn’t want to spend the money.
I think most of us can find the money for things we want. I think it is a matter of how much someone wants it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
