For the longest time I was confused on how to get all this Internet Network Marketing stuff to work. I mean it seemed simple enough, get traffic to my affiliate website and let the business sell itself. I tried that approach for a good year with dismal results to say the least. I even tried that approach with several different businesses and my results were always the same. All I managed to do was go deeper into debt and get more confused.
So I started looking for the common denominator between all the successful internet network marketing “gurus”. Once I started modeling my business after theirs I started seeing results. The first thing I noticed was each successful marketer online had a clear vision of where they wanted to be. I think that is very important because unless you know what you want its really hard to achieve it.
It’s not enough to say I would like to make more money in a few months, be more specific how much money do you want to make, also be realistic. If you aren’t starting out with a decent size advertising budget don’t expect to make a lot of money when you are first starting out. It just doesn’t happen that way. While it is true many people see great results right away, the reason is because they are spending money on advertising.
Another common factor is all successful Internet Network Marketing “gurus” use an autoresponder system. Many of you believe when you join a business you are sending prospects to your businesses lead capture page and getting prospects. This is only a partial truth. What is really happening is you are building your companies email marketing list and if they join your business great , if not you just lost that person. Having your own autoresponder system means that you are capturing peoples names to your own list. This means you will be able to market to them on a on-going basis. (THE TRUTH IS: Everyone who is successful online makes multiple streams of income!)
The only way you will achieve this is if you are able to follow up with your prospects and broadcast to them. Just because a prospect doesn’t join your business does not mean they won’t buy from you, all it means is you haven’t presented them with something they are interested in. You still have a good lead because that person is still interested in making money online. Unless you are able to broadcast to them on a regular basis you will be leaving a lot of money on the table.
I bet there are several people online who’s name you heard of before. In Internet Network Marketing there are 2 skills you want to master. Attraction Marketing and Branding Yourself. The reason is because this is the only way you will gain the trust and respect of the people on your list. You want the person on you list to remember who you are. You also want them to see you as the person who is going to help them with their problem. Attracting people to you and branding yourself is not that hard.
Using tools like webcams, lead capture pages, signature files, free reports, social networks are all ways to brand yourself and attract the right person to your business.

Great article on the follow through aspects of networking. In this economic environment, networking is a key component of job search as well as promoting one’s firm.
