Internet Network Marketing – The Missing Ingredient
So I was watching the new Karate Kid Movie with Jakie Chan.In the movie there is a line that says “Your Focus Needs More Focus.”While I thought it was funny it kinda applies to internet network marketing.
How many times have you told yourself you are going to do it.Only to find yourself 2 months later in the same place you have always been. It isn’t to hard to figure out that most folks lack the required discipline and focus to make their dreams a reality.
Internet Network Marketing – The Need For Personal Development
I am not one of those new ages peoples. I don’t believe that if you close your eyes and visualize your future it is somehow going to manifest itself in front of your eyes.
Rather I believe that every little insignificant thing we do in our lives plays a vital role in our overall success in life. I believe it takes Kung Fu in order to be successful.
You may be saying right now what does Kung Fu have to do with it. Kung Fu translated means ” Hard Work” , it will require hard work if you want to find success in the internet network marketing industry.
Internet Network Marketing – Define Hard Work
The theme for this post is discipline and focus. It will take both of these if you want to truly find success online.
Discipline – Set a schedule every single day that you are going to work on your online business. Don’t deter from your schedule make it happen.
Focus – Don’t jump around from project to project, finish what you start.
Early in my online marketing journey I moved from program to program -> From Guru to Guru , and I always found myself in the same spot. Confused and broke! I thought somehow if I read enough reports I would find my way. As my dad use to like telling me WRONG ANSWER!!!
Internet network marketing isn’t a product , it isn’t even niche it is more like a lifestyle. I say this because unless you are willing to put in the time, effort and money it takes to do it right. You are going to go around and around and nickle and dime yourself to death.
My advice is simple: If you are sincere about wanting to be successful in the internet network marketing industry find your focus and be disciplined enough to see it to the end.
Do you find yourself loosing focus? What are some of the things you do to find it again?
If you aren’t finding success in the internet network marketing industry just maybe “Your Focus Needs More Focus”

Great line. In the first movie, it was just “Focus, focus, focus”. Both are perfect for your business.
One way to help yourself focus is to have Specific Daily Actions outlined for your business.
SDA’s will keep you on track (i.e. focused) on important things for your business.
Same ideas apply to your life too!

Hi Fred, thanks for stopping by and sharing.
Hi Larry,
Your focus can always use more focus. It reminds me of something I read once about lasers. If you take the same amount of light from a regular, everyday light bulb, and focus all that light on one point, you can cut through steel. Rather than dispersing all your energies, focus them on the one thing you’re good at.
Awesome post, my friend. Thanks for sharing!
Gregory
Hi Gregory I didn’t know that, thanks for stopping by and sharing.
Yeah Larry, You are so darn right. Focus, focus and more focus. The word Kung-Fu means a highly developed set of skill especially in the realm of Chinese martial art . In ancient China each master has his or her own style and technique but they have one commonality, these skill set requires great personal sacrifices, discipline, dedication and very hard work to achieved usually under the tutelage of a very strict master.
You are right in the sense that it applies to all things in life you only get what you are willing to put into it.
It’s a resounding YES. Focus,. focus and more focus. Sadly that is lacking in me and many others I believe…LoL.
Larry, for entertainment value I prefer the Ipman movie better. His move is so cool. He delivers the blow and humiliate his enemy without breaking a sweat. and yet so humble and forgiving. Now that’s what I’ll call Kung-Fu.
Larry, great blog. I look forward to your nest installment.
ChiaSung
Hi Sung Chung, Great Comment!
I love Wing Chun!
For entertainment value 🙂
Aeh yeah Larry, You got my favorite clip on. I just love it .
When Ipman rolled up his sleeves he means business.
Somebody is going to get hurt…Lol
He puts on a brilliant display in this clip.
Notice how highly focus and concentrated he is.
He counters, anticipates, and preempts every move of
his opponent naturally and instinctively like ducks to water.
Now, here comes the best part that I like most.
When his opponent slumped down like a lump of dough
from his barrage of attack the poor guy didn’t have a chance
and didn’t what hit him.
Ipman has all his power strength concentrated on his clenched
fist to deliver his last dead-blow that would send him 6 foot under,
but he didn’t. You notice how he withdrew that last blow very slowly.
He is very well disciplined and has tremendous control over his emotion
not be overwhelmed by anger and hatred an embodiment of a well cultured man of a Confucius upbringing compassionate and forgiving.
and that is the part I liked best no need to kill to prove your point.
We can equally apply all these principles in all endeavors of our daily life.
Master Larry, I know you are a martial art practitioner. Post us some of your Kung-Fu moves if you get a chance. Will You?
Great blog Larry. I really enjoyed this thread.
Keep up the good work

I convinced my sifu to make videos with me 🙂
Larry you hit it on the nail. Time and time again I run into “ex network marketers” who would blame the company, blame their upline, or both. The funny thing is that they never went to the meetings, never read personal development, never got on the training calls, etc… You’re absolutely right when you said network marketing is a lifestyle because these are the necessities in order to become successful in this industry!!

You’re so right – focus is so important. Not only do people jump from deal to deal to deal…but they always try to land the whale (get rich), instead of just catching lots of small fish (build their income). Picture this, sitting in the middle of the ocean (internet) – trying to land a giant whale with a fishing rod and minnow (your offer/small website). If you want to catch the big fish in this game (make lots of cash), you need to focus on catching the small fish first…make a little money online…then work your way up. Stop trying to land the 2000 pounder ($10000/month) – just focus on the little things that will make you $300 and work your way up from there.
Hey Joel, thanks for stopping by man, it’s an honor. I have been following your marketing for years good stuff!
I like your analogy, it’s the little fishes that help you pay your bills 🙂
@Larry: Focus and determination are the most important factors for succeeding, no matter what you do. Is so hard to find the right motivation and so easy to lose it. For me, my family is the biggest and strongest motivation that keeps me moving 🙂

I loved the movie! And I totally agree, focus is needed in blogging, not just in blogging but also in other areas of life. With focus, you’ll not be easily distracted. With focus, it’s easier to move on forward to reach your goal.
Hi Andrew, amen to that brother!
I would like to start with the new Karate Kid, it is good but I do prefer the original if I am being honest. I have not found myself loosing focus but I have only been blogging for a few week now and I have been really busy. I am going to put some time each day aside to get it going and I am going to try and be as dedicated as possible. Thanks for the help. I like the line “Your Focus Needs More Focus.†myself.
Hi Claire thanks for stopping by. LOLS I like the original myself its the best around 🙂
Hi Larry, I was just popping back to have a read. I enjoy spending time here occasionally, but haven’t for a bit. Why? Well, I guess it’s because my focus needs more focus!
I battle continuously with my focus. As you say, it boils down to scheduling and sticking to it. So many days I think to myself, I would love to just have a good read today and visit a few blogs. Many times this boosts my inspiration and gives me a few ideas for the ‘crock pot’ in my mind.
Focus is so huge. I am pleased that I am not the only person who has hopped from one product to the next only to have no results.
The golden key to success is focus, followed by consistency.
Loved the analogy and the post. Thanks Larry, I found an additional kick of inspiration in this post.
Jayne
Hi Jayne, thanks for visiting again. I am glad you found the post inspirational.
Internet Marketing has made things so much easier for everyone specially the business minded community and we cannot imagine doing business the traditional way any more. The karate kid is one best example of staying determined and focused towards one’s goal. Internet Marketing is here to stay and we should all utilize it.
Great post and still timely. When you say Kung Fu means hard work, that is what can be involved with all of the content creation needed for internet marketing today. Sometimes it can be overwhelming, so focussing on the task and seeing it to completion is essential. It is best to be a “do-ru” instead of a guru!
