Boy oh boy! I might take heat for this one, but here it goes anyways. I just recently was doing a 3-way phone call with one of my network marketing team members. It was a surprise 3-way he just called me up and had his prospect on the line. It’s interesting what you will say when you are put on the spot.
Doing A Network Marketing 3-Way Phone Call
The “Guy” we will call him Gary. Gary said to me that he is a hard worker. It made me think of my days when I use to manual labor.
I actually had a job where I had to stand in a 54ft truck and unload 60lb boxes by hand. With only 2 15 minute breaks and a lunch. The job was a nightmare in the dead of summer.
Anyhow I would say I worked my frigging ass off at that job. I was only making $7 dollars an hour at that job. No kidding! I dropped out of highschool so my job choices were limited.
I noticed though that my supervisor sat on a forklift all day and from what I could tell road around looking pissed. But he was making 60,000 a year. I obviously was working much harder than the guy but he was making a shitload more than me.
I actually asked him how I could move up in the company.. He said and I quote “Work really really hard, don’t call out and one day you can be making as much as Jimmy. So I went up to Jimmy and asked him if he wouldn’t mind telling me what he made an hour. He actually said, don’t tell anyone else but I am making $23.57 an hour. Of course being 19 I was like WOW!!!!
I asked him how long did he have to work their to make that much. He said 19 years…..—>YA, I put my 2 weeks in the next day…
My point is this, often times a mistake many newbie internet network marketing recruits make is they don’t value themselves enough. Because of this, they present themselves in a light that makes them look valueless.

Some things can be duplicated like marketing strategies, processes etc.. But the uniqueness of you can never be duplicated. If you come into this whole internet marketing thing .. Only joining $10 programs you will ultimately not only nickle and dime yourself to death. But you will also attract exactly the same person to your business that will ultimately nickle and dime themselves to death.
IT is a ficious circle that most people don’t get out of until they just give up.
Do you want to make $5000 a month in a reasonable time? Do you think you are going to do it by surfing traffic exchanges for free or spamming facebook with your affiliate link? When someone spams its because they don’t have the foggiest idea how to market on the internet at all. They are the absolute worst person to do business with.
There are many ethical , softer, friendlier ways to market your internet network marketing business. In fact the right ways are the ways that actually get you paid in the long run.
You aren’t building a business for the moment, you are building stability for a lifetime.
Get serious, start taking goal setting seriously, don’t let one day go by where you don’t at least learn 1 new thing about your business.
And always remember, if you don’t want to spend money every single person you attract also will not want to spend money. Yes its a risk, its a gamble it’s reaching into the unknown. The real question is what is your freedom worth to you? Once you have that number in your head. Don’t take the longest road there look for the shortest route. You will quickly realize that yes indeed you have to spend a money to make money…….
Its just the way it is.. I don’t like it either………. So I guess I joined empower network because I am pissed at seeing people take the longest road to get to their destination… —The quickest way between 2 points is a straight line. Are your ready? If so —->Click Here And Let Nature Take It’s Course

Larry,
I can’t not agree with you more about valuing yourself on another standard. I’m in sales myself and the company you keep is a big indicator of where your headed. If you hang out with people who just follow the norm and never challenge themselves, you won’t do it either. If you work with people who are the forefront, you may start behind the curve but eventually you’ll get there is my philosophy.
Hi Brandon, thanks for commenting..
I agree “Birds of a feather flock together 🙂 “
Hi Larry and Brandon,
In my opinion, I would agree about brandon said but merely not all the time his correct. Actually it depend on the situation.
Hey Larry,
I know all about working hard as I’ve done my fair share of hard work in my day. I actually still work hard at my new job and get paid close to $23 an hour. Strange considering I can put a link in a post which takes me 15minutes to write and get paid $25. 😀
Still, I do that job because it’s stress free and it gets me out of the house where I tend to eat to much. I don’t mind the hard work as it keeps me fit.
It’s true though that if you want to get ahead these days you have to work smarter and not harder and a lot of the times worker smarter means having the right tools 😉
Hi sire, that’s a horse of a different color as they say in OZ 🙂
It’s okay to work to get out of the house, believe me I know that. As a stay at home dad somedays I would rather bag groceries than do another load of wash hahahahahahahahahah
The main thing I learned from this is you have to spend money to really get anywhere, which makes sense. Money makes the world go round, right.
WORD! 🙂

“they present themselves in a light that makes them look valueless.” the sentence has an impressive influence on me. I agree with your idea, and have learned a lot from it, thank you!

Hi Larry,
I agree with you that IT is a ficious circle that most people don’t get out of until they just give up.. By the way I recently read a great post by Andrew Hunt about the lead generations we all could learn from Steve Jobs, The 3 B2B Lead Generation Lessons I Learned From Steve Jobs, check it out http://www.inboundsales.net/blog/bid/47726/The-3-B2B-Lead-Generation-Lessons-I-Learned-From-Steve-Jobs
So true, I started with a free service meant to get upgrades 10 years ago. You would not believe how much hassle the free customers would give about everything and how much they would complain. Customers who are actually paying you a decent fee respect your time and think more highly of you as well.
Hi Melanie, thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I use to be a person who wanted to do as much as I could for a person. I literally created training sites, gave a way good quality video content, ebooks, audio’s.
I would spend as many hours as I could with a person on the phone and the computer to help them get going.
After doing it for a couple years, I finally got sick and tired of dealing with people who didn’t really appreciate what I am doing. They never made me dime but they spent hours of my life bitching and complaining about everything under sun.
Once I started dealing with folks who understood that it cost money and it is just part of business, I started making more money. The people I worked with actually started having success.
The reason I believe is because a person values what they are doing, themselves when they paid for what they got.
When you give someone something for free they do not take it seriously. The saying 1 bad apple ruins it for the bunch is very true.
