There are to many people in the Network Marketing industry running around “selling” thier hype.Â The reality is that the people who are selling hype are the very ones not really making money and struggling online.Â We are not looking for the people who have to be convinced that what we are doing works. If we do that we will always have to convince that person every step of the way that what we are doing does work.
The person that constantly needs to be convince that network marketing really does work is using fear to cripple their own growth.Â We are not in the business of selling our business opportunity. We are in the business of developing leaders. A leader is a person who takes responsibility for their own actions. A leader is a person who picks up the ball and runs with it.Â I never had to be convinced that network marketing works, I never said to anyone prove it to me.. All I ever asked is how can I make it work for me?
There was a point when I got into this industry that I tried to sell my business. I even convinced a few people to get involved with my business. What ended up happening is they just left.Â At the time I didn’t have a mentor that was guiding me. I just had a sponsor who cared about the growth of his downline and just told me things that would build his business. He never got on the phone with me and explained to me that people don’t like to be sold. If you actually convince someone to join your business by playing on their emotions you will never find good people to work with.
Don’t try and convince anyone of anything, simply share with them what you are doing and tell them about your results if they are interested they will get involved with your business. If they are not convinced they never will be and there really is no point in continuing the conversation with them.
Network Marketing is not just about making money.. Although you need money to survive network marketing is about creating freedom in your life to live the life you have envisioned for yourself. It is a vehicle to get you to where you want to be.
Once I stopped trying to sell people, I started getting phone calls and people started to gravitate toward me. While I was trying to “sell” my business people where running away from me.Â A simple change in mindset made all the difference in my business.
