Network Marketing and Multi-level Marketing have achieved phenomenal success in creating a new marketing model for both the business managers and individuals who are dreaming to chart their own careers. The model has lot to offer- in view of the staggering success by some famed international brands and also by the astronomical earnings of many individuals who, till they found this exciting opportunity, were simply salaried employees or small time business men!

An individual joining the team has no control over the kind of people who join the team. Many times, the members try to increase the numbers without bothering about the quality. It is then, just a matter of time for the team consisting of incompetent and unscrupulous members to create problems with customers and all the good work done by the enthusiastic persons comes to a naught.
Poor public perception of MLM:
There are many cases where the MLM and Networks have earned bad reputation due to the factors stated above and also by the deliberate attempts by some companies to sell inferior products with the scheme of MLM. Usually, such episodes are well known to public because of maximum publicity these marketers give to boost their network. Products with doubtful utility are sold to public not for their value- but with allurement of making profits on the commissions! Such fraudulent cases have really created a negative image of network marketing itself, irrespective of what products you wish to promote! Naturally, it is very difficult to work when the public perceives such marketing as one more new way to fleece them!
Difficulty in finding right people:
Even if one can be self-motivated to work against these odds, the success depends on the strength of the team one builds in this marketing arrangement. It is very difficult to build a team that is comprised of individuals with proven track record in marketing or those who were successful in running their own business or excelled in managing good relations with customers. But the real problem in MLM and Network marketing is that it is difficult to get such individuals motivated to join the team while the people who flock are exactly of the opposite type!
Those who understand these difficulties well and arm themselves to work against these limitations truly can succeed in this exciting business opportunity.
