Is it to much to ask Apple and Microsoft to play nice together? For years PC users have been frustrated with the incompatibility of the two companies.
This has made all of us casualties of their war. If you’re reading this article there is no doubt that you too have Itunes on your computer. Recently I updated my Itunes and noticed this annoying error pop up every time I started up my computer.
Maybe you have this same problem? The reason why you are having this error is because your system is trying to load some information and it doesn’t see your .dll files. Annoying I know. I did some research and found out that it happens to a lot of people every time they update their Itunes. So while this is a fix, you may have to apply this fix over and over and over because microsoft and apple suck.
Anyhow that’s enough of my rant….
Let’s Get To Fixing The Error
To fix this annoying but typical problem you are going to have to move 2 files from one place to another. Wouldn’t it be nice if our computers just realized this stuff on their own?
What you are going to need to do is open up the first folder:
Note that if you’re using 64-bit Windows, you’ll need to look in the C:Program Files (x86) folder
Once you’re inside that folder, find these two files and copy them:
- libxml2.dll
- SQLite3.dll
You can just use Ctrl+C or the menu to copy the files.
Note you might get the error message saying you are missing SQLite3.dll rather than the libxml2.dll, either way copy both files because I was missing both of them even though the error message only indicated that I was missing one of them.
Next, you’re going to have to switch to this folder:
Make sure you copy the files over and you are good to go. It’s a real simply fix and should only take you a minute at most to fix. That’s not the point though. The point is as the age of computers keeps moving forward you would think by now that these 2 giant companies would find some kind of understanding, like putting their customers first.
Anyhow, if you happen to have this annoying problem and this solutions solves it for you I am glad. Have a great day!
