CommentLuv – A Recap
For those of you who are unaware commentluv is a plugin that works with the wordpress blogging plate form. Basically what it does is tracks back to your blog and see what your last blog post was and it puts that post in the bottom of your comment for others to see and visit. Besides giving you back links you also can get traffic from other peoples blogs.
Commentluv – Don’t use other commenting plugins
There are other plugins out there that also work with the commenting section of your blog like Disqus. While these plugins have really nifty features they do not accomplish what a new blogger needs. That is an incentive to offer people to post on your blog. I see some really cool blogs I would love to comment on, but when I get down to the commenting section if I don’t see commentluv I don’t comment. I am not the only one who feels that way, in fact there are many bloggers out there in cyberspace who have tested different commenting systems out and have found commentluv to be the best.
Good ways to encourage commenting
- Use a self hosted wordpress blog. All the other blogging plateforms such as blogger are inferior. WordPress allows you to have full control over every element of your web space.
- Make sure you make your blog a DoFollow Blog. Note -> Some folks don’t like to add the DoFollow plugin on their website because it promotes spam. There are counter measures you can take to lesson the effect of spam. You want your blog to be a DoFollow blog. Again I want to make a point that I look for only DoFollow blogs to comment on. All other blogs do absolutely nothing for my rankings.
- Use the commentluv plugin and also the keywordluv plugin, both plugins encourage commenting.
- Finally as best you can always comment back to your commentors. When you can also visit their blog and comment.
CommentLuv – From The Horses Mouth
There are some cool things that are coming out in the next commentluv plugin update. While I don’t know Andy Bailey, I do know his plugin rocks!
Here is more useful information on commentluv

Thank you to Andy for inventing the plug in. I also love KeywordLuv plug in and the Do-follow plug in. All these plug in rock!
Hello,
I must admit it, Commentluv is in the top 3 most useful and interesting plugins for WordPress, it’s really great to have such useful plugin. Back in the time when I was blogging, I was using the Commentluv plugin too and I am really proud of what it became lately. Thanks for sharing!
Keep up the good work,
Joshua
Never to late to say thank you for commenting 🙂
I must admit I have only just found this plugin I have installed it I can see why it is good for bloggers at the same time it does seem limited to needing the blog owner to have it installed.
I know that other then the searching for the plugin reviews I haven’t actually seen it being used. Think I will try it for a month and see what happens.
For me this is a big help. It help to have more commentors and followers to your site or blog. Thanks for posting this article though.
I have been thinking about adding this plugin to my blog fopr a while. I am still on the fence. Getting more traffic is definitely a good thing no matter how you slice it. I just wonder if it would not attract more spam. Although to be honest almost all the comments I get are spam currently so maybe dangling to incentive of a contextual backlink will improve the quantity and quality of comments to my blog.
I think we all fight spam. I ignore it, they can keep trying their just going to get deleted.
But commentluv does help you get good comments
This king of plugin is very useful these days. I remember when back to the old days we can post directly to any article and we have so many problems in handling some feedback about it. CommentLuv really help us when we do some blog commenting these days.
I LOVE CommentLuv and am spreading the word to other CommentLuv users that Andy is offering the new CommentLuv Premium for SEVEN DAYS only. I wanted to make sure you knew in case you might want to get it while it least expensive.
It isn’t just CommentLuv – it incorporates 7 plugins including KeywordLuv, DoFollow, Twitter field (and that works much better than the original), Trackback spam blocker, etc. Full details in the post I’ve shared.
Ya its a pretty cool upgrade. I didn’t realize it condense some really great plugins into 1 plugin.
I always love disqus but someone wrote about disqus selling users’ data to third party so I’m looking for a replacement.
commentluv helps with spammers right? It would be worth to try commentluv. Thanks for the link @Gail
CommentLuv plugin makes a blogger’s job a lot easier. Just imagine the advantage of installing an 8-in-1 plug-in to your blog, plus I love the thought of having bonuses that I can make use of later.
I think that was a great move adding this cool pluggins into your site. Comment and Keyword Luv pluggins are awesome and really gives benefits to both site owner and commenter(reader/visitor).
i’ve recently implemented commentluv on my site as well with a posting explaining the changes. jury is still out, but glad to give my readers a little extra love.
We recently started using comment love on our blog and I’ve been really impressed with the quantity of comments it has brought.
